Ah, Disraeli Gears - for me one of the most enigmatic albums of all time. The first LP (long player-vinyl) I ever bought, the cover design of which inspired, and carved my career in the arts. I enlarged and copied every minute detail of this album cover, which hung in our schools entrance hall all term. This piece was followed by a flow of psychedelic works that won me a place at Art college.
Let´s not diverse too much, the design was by Bob Whitaker and Martin Sharp (great work).
The album was released in November 1967 in Great Britain and America, and entered the Top 10 in the UK. Sales reached 1,000,000
Cream consisted of Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. Heroes of an unrepeatable era.
Never heard anything of a reformation in these years, but for sure they are out there somewhere, excellent musicians of this era never fade away completely. Eric Clapton of course is still out there making good music, Thanks Eric.
Best tracks Strange Brew, Sunshine of your Love, Tales of Brave Ulysses.
Thanks to Cream for a memorable album.

Just a personal welcome before I continue to blog.
Here I will talk about all music not only just from my era.
I will also tell of any memories that a piece of music brings to mind.
Please leave a comment if you wish.
Electric Grannie

Yesterday

How I love to hear of all those bands from the 60´s and 70´s reforming, recording and touring. My heroes of yesterday...old,grey, bald, fat and bespectacled.....but we don´t see it. once they are behind their guitars and drums or whatever they play, they once again become the icons of yesterday, in the here and now, and no our dear Beatles never did reform, perhaps they didn´t need to. Many still have their hair long, although finer and usually in a pony tail but liberated once on set to flow wildly with the beat. Aaaaah, I always was one for the long hair. So when the music plays-so the electric grannie boogies.

Rock until you drop I say.
