I have been absent, wandering through the corridoors of my mind, and shuffling a lot of paper. Things have happened in the music world, but haven´t gone un-noticed...I wa sjust sitting here thinking.....how to go with this blog, and I heard that someone had stolen Micheal Jackson´s jewellery from his grave...now bearing in mind they were buried with him, I think it takes more than a commited fan to do something so disgusting. However the programme I was listening to, gave further examples of the same with the rich and famous. Gruesome or what.

Anyway I have shuffled the papers long enough and will posting as from now.

Led Zeppelin, one of the greatest bands. First album released in 1969, and 9 months later came Led Zeppelin II, brilliant!!!Sold more than 12,000,000 copies and for those of us around at the time, we know why. Reached No.1 in the US and UK album charts. The album was actually recorded whilst touring the US. The main nucleus of this album was it´s potent electronic sounds. Classified by Rolling Stone magazine as no.75 in the 500 best albums of al time.
Sad to say, the great John Bonham died in September1980, and the group disbanded in Dec 1980, saying they could not continue without Bonham. (they have reformed since)
My favourite track is "Thankyou"

Yesterday

How I love to hear of all those bands from the 60´s and 70´s reforming, recording and touring. My heroes of yesterday...old,grey, bald, fat and bespectacled.....but we don´t see it. once they are behind their guitars and drums or whatever they play, they once again become the icons of yesterday, in the here and now, and no our dear Beatles never did reform, perhaps they didn´t need to. Many still have their hair long, although finer and usually in a pony tail but liberated once on set to flow wildly with the beat. Aaaaah, I always was one for the long hair. So when the music plays-so the electric grannie boogies.

Rock until you drop I say.
